Is a rabbit right for me?

If you’re thinking about adopting a rabbit, there’s many factors to take into consideration.

Things to consider

• Rabbits require as much care and expense as a cat or a dog. They need to be fed, have hay bought and may need the occasional trip to the vet.
• Rabbits often dislike being picked up and aren’t best for small kids. Read more
• Rabbits must be kept indoors to ensure health and happiness. Read more
• Rabbits can coexist with other pets with supervision.
• You’ll need to “bunnyproof” your home for the safety or your rabbit and the protection of your home, rabbits like to chew things. Read more
• Rabbits are a 6-10 year commitment.

On the bright side

• Rabbits are quiet, clean and easily littertrained.
• Rabbits are very social, inquisitive and interactive.
• Rabbits (even big ones) do great in small apartments.
• Rabbit personalities aren’t determined by breed or gender.
• Rabbits rarely cause allergies.
• Many rabbits can be trusted to have free run of your house.

Got all that? Then its time to Apply to adopt a rabbit

You must be at least 18 years old to adopt. Children must have a parent fill out the application. After we discuss your application, you will have the option to make an appointment to meet our wonderful spayed/neutered, littertrained rabbits. Adoption fee is $75 for a single rabbit and $125 for a pair. Microchipping is available for an additional $15.
